Ben Wikler and guest, Pete Buttigieg, attracted a near-capacity crowd to Overture Hall Friday night in downtown Madison, and the event predictably morphed into a boisterous, feel-good Democratic pep rally.
The occasion was the launch of a new book by Wikler, the wunderkind former chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party. He has been instrumental in rescuing his beloved home state from the bad old days of outrageous Republican gerrymandering and extremist policies led by former Gov. Scott Walker.
