Chelsea’s Giovanni Bickel has been given a great opportunity at Michigan State University. After being selected to receive the Alumni Distinguished Scholarship, Bickel said he’s ready to make something out of it.
The scholarship provides up to eight consecutive semesters of undergraduate enrollment, including tuition, fees, food and housing, and a single experiential education stipend. Each awardee also receives a spot in the MSU Honors College’s Professorial Assistantship program, which provides a two-year paid research placement with a faculty mentor.
Bickel, who graduated from Chelsea High School this year, told the Sun Times News he’s “very grateful to have the opportunity to study at Michigan State for free.”…
