PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – A major announcement was made during the ‘Envision Lead Grow’ annual gala, ‘Young Girls Rule: Tiaras & Bow Ties’ event on Sunday.
The event at the Rivers Casino marks the ‘Envision, Lead, Grow’ initiative’s 10th anniversary. The annual summer camp spearheaded by Dr. Angela Reddix just wrapped up. The fundraising gala celebrated the six students who just graduated from the program, which taught 150 girls finances, business, and technology over a week at Old Dominion University.
