Schuylkill Haven Man Accused of Leading Police on Pursuit, Resisting Arrest While Wanted on Bucks County Warrants

A Schuylkill Haven man who police say fled from a traffic stop, led officers on a vehicle and foot pursuit, and resisted arrest while wanted on active warrants is being held in Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 bail.

According to court documents, Schuylkill Haven Police were conducting patrol in the 300 block of Center Avenue around 10:20 p.m. on July 17 when they observed a silver Nissan Maxima traveling south with dark window tint and a non-functioning license plate light that prevented the registration plate from being read.

Police said the officer pulled behind the vehicle and activated his emergency lights and siren before the intersection of Berger Street. Rather than stopping immediately, the driver continued south on Route 61 before turning onto East Main Street and then onto West Penn Street. The vehicle eventually pulled into a rear parking lot behind the Little Dipper Ice Cream Shop in the 100 block of East Main Street…
