The Apple Festival Races will mark their 50th anniversary Saturday, September 5, with in-person 8K, 5K and Mini Moo Mile events and new virtual 5K and 8K choices. The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce is organizing the anniversary program with presenting sponsor Hunter Subaru and community partners.
The event is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon Eastern time during North Carolina Apple Festival weekend. Runners, walkers and families can choose among the individual 8K, individual 5K and Mini Moo Mile. People traveling over Labor Day weekend can instead complete one of the virtual distances.
