2 pets dead after Charlotte house fire

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Two dogs died as a result of a house fire in Charlotte Tuesday morning. The eight other animals in the home were successfully rescued from the home.

The Charlotte Fire Department says its firefighters were called out at around 10:09 a.m. Tuesday for a reported house fire after the homeowner got a notification that smoke alarms in the home were going off. When they checked the security camera, they saw smoke inside the home.

The fire department says they arrived on scene at around 10:14 a.m., finding a “well-involved” fire in the kitchen and “quickly” extinguishing it. After this, they turned their attention toward locating seven dogs and three cats thought to be inside…
