The Seattle City Council Tuesday approved a 10-year plan to pay for and expand bus service in the city. If approved by voters this fall, the city’s transit sales tax will double to 0.3%.
The tax would cost a two-person, median income household about $58 dollars a year, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation, bringing in $138 million a year for the next decade.
