COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – Columbus Mayor-elect Isaiah Hugley has turned to one of the most seasoned politicians in the state and a retired local attorney to lead his transition team.
Retired state Rep. Calvin Smyre, who served nearly a half century in the Georgia General Assembly, and Trip Tomlinson, the husband of former Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, will guide the transition, Hugley announced Wednesday morning in a news release.
