COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit arrested eight people and seized illegal drugs and firearms following four separate narcotics investigations conducted between July 14–16, 2026.
Detectives executed multiple search warrants during the investigations, which resulted in 32 felony charges and six misdemeanor charges, including multiple trafficking and firearms offenses. Two felony probation violation warrants related to previous trafficking convictions were also served.
What was seized
Investigators seized the following items:
- 1,471 grams (3.24 pounds) of methamphetamine
- Seven firearms, including one sawed-off shotgun and two firearms with altered or obliterated serial numbers
- 3.9 grams of crack cocaine
- 74.6 grams of marijuana
- 32.1 grams of THC edibles (Schedule I)
- Three and a half Xanax pills
- Two Hydrocodone pills
- Two Adderall pills
The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is $67,521.
