KALAMAZOO, MI — The free, week-long Sounds of the Zoo music festival is back for another go-round.
The genre-spanning festival, featuring the likes of Mark Lavengood, Grace Theisen, Myron Elkins, Yellowhouse, Desmond Jones and The Go Rounds, will feature 40-plus bands spread across eight venues from Sept. 21 through Sept. 27.
The festival will bring in local, regional, national and international artists and highlight singer-songwriters, indie rockers, jazz, hip-hop and folk artists, as well as musicians representing the funk, blues and world music genres…
