LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — It is likely Florida will be facing a shortage of healthcare workers in the near future. Lakeland Regional Health is doing something about it by creating a pipeline for future health professionals.
Around 70 students are participating in the four-week Discover Summer Enrichment Program. They’re all putting on their gloves to learn more about what the healthcare system is and all the different job opportunities within it.
