LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A case of the West Nile Virus was confirmed Monday in Louisville.
According to Louisville’s FOX affiliate, WDRB, a Louisville resident tested positive for the West Nile virus on July 20, making this the first confirmed case of the year.
The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness said mosquitoes carrying the virus were found in a monitoring trap in one of the city’s neighborhoods.
