BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. (WPRI) — A Rhode Island man’s five-year-old daughter was not in a car seat or wearing a seatbelt when his pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer earlier this year, Target 12 has learned.
In January, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said that “multiple potential criminal violations” were being considered as part of their investigation into a Jan. 4 crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer shortly before 4 a.m. on Interstate 81 in West Virginia.
On June 11 — more than five months later — the sheriff’s office filed a criminal complaint and issued an arrest warrant for Donte Thornhill, 29, of Warwick. He was charged with child neglect resulting in death…
