TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Two local farms are launching a weekly produce membership program as concerns over the cyclosporiasis outbreak prompt some consumers to reconsider their fresh produce purchases.
Urban Wholistics and Shared Legacy Farms are partnering for Farmers Bag Toledo, a 14-week program that provides members with a weekly haul of produce every Friday. Pickups will be held at Urban Wholistics on 619 Woodland Avenue, with the first scheduled for Aug. 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Memberships are priced at $25, with a sliding-scale option of $14 available for low-income families. Sonia Flunder-McNair, executive director of Urban Wholistics, said both membership tiers receive the same amount of food.
