(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The owners of the restaurant, Salsa Brava, have announced that they are closing the Mexican food venue on Aug. 29, after 24 years.
Salsa Brava was the first restaurant concept created by the Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group (RMRG) in 2002, and became known for its margaritas and signature warm blackened tomato salsa.
“Salsa Brava was the restaurant that started it all,” said Randy Price, Founder of Rocky Mountain Restaurant Group. “Twenty-four years ago, we set out to create a place where people could enjoy great food and genuine hospitality. What followed became something much bigger than a restaurant. Every guest, every team member and every celebration helped shape who we are today. While this chapter is bittersweet, I’m incredibly proud that Salsa Brava’s legacy will continue through our people, our restaurants and our continued commitment to this amazing community.”
RMRG also owns the popular breakfast venue, The Urban Egg, which will continue at its three current locations, including the space shared by Salsa Brava, at the corner of Powers Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard, in Colorado Springs.
