Although many people are just now discovering the restaurant as Hardin Valley continues to grow, Tomo actually opened its Hardin Valley location in 2019 after relocating from its longtime Kingston Pike restaurant. The move gave owner Rathida “Tom” Khamsouk and his team room to expand both the menu and the dining experience while continuing to serve loyal customers from across Knoxville.
The restaurant specializes in Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls built around fresh, sushi-grade seafood, rice or greens, vegetables and house-made sauces. Guests can create their own bowl or choose from a variety of signature combinations featuring tuna, salmon, hamachi, shrimp, tofu and other fresh ingredients.
