West Nile Virus detected in Kingsville mosquito sample, spraying underway

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A mosquito trapped in Kingsville has tested positive for West Nile Virus, prompting the city to begin a three-day mosquito spraying operation.

The City of Kingsville Health Department said a mosquito collected July 14 in the 700 block of East Warren Avenue tested positive for West Nile Virus.
