Gunfire On Memphis-Fulton Strip Leaves Man In His 40s Clinging To Life

A man in his 40s is fighting for his life after an early shooting today along the Memphis-Fulton corridor in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood, according to paramedics. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition after the incident near Fulton Road and Memphis Avenue. Authorities had not released further details or confirmed any arrests at the time of the initial report.

According to 19 News, Cleveland EMS said paramedics responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Fulton Road and Memphis Avenue and transported the victim to MetroHealth in critical condition. The station reported that it had reached out to Cleveland Police for additional information.

Memphis-Fulton Corridor Anchors Old Brooklyn Hub

The intersection where the call came in sits along Old Brooklyn’s Memphis-Fulton commercial strip, a stretch of small businesses, bars and homes that local groups have been working to revive. The Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation has promoted redevelopment plans and neighborhood safety meetings for the corridor, according to the Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation.
