CLEVELAND (WJW) — A Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Deputy used a new device and his trusted K-9 to help make an arrest.
In May, Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim DeCredico tried to arrest Daniel Dublin. DeCredico tried to get Dublin to pull over but when he refused, the deputy used The Grappler. The Grappler is a device that can be deployed from law enforcement cruisers to latch on to suspect vehicles to prevent the vehicles from getting away.

Seconds after the Grappler was used, Dublin got out of his car and ran. DeCredico’s K-9 partner Felix, chased him and caught him.
Deputies say Dublin also had a loaded gun.
