WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — A 43-year-old man with prior convictions and a history of mental illness has been charged with open murder in the death of an elderly woman who was found outside her Wyoming home earlier this week.
James William Jackson is accused of killing 82-year-old Peggy Jane Dreyer, who was found dead outside her home on Marcia Street west of Clyde Park Avenue SW.
Jackson was found in the woman’s vehicle, court records show. He lists the same Marcia Street address as the woman he is accused of killing, records show.
The cause of death is not listed in court documents, but Dreyer was discovered on her property Monday “with injuries consistent with homicide,” a Wyoming officer wrote in a probable cause affidavit…
