(FOX40.COM) — The California Department of Food and Agriculture has confirmed the detection of a citrus tree virus in Lodi. While the virus does not pose a risk to people, it could threaten California’s citrus industry.
On July 7, Citrus yellow vein clearing virus was detected during a routine multi-pest survey conducted by CDFA, and it marks the first time the virus has ever been found in San Joaquin County.
