A motorist was stabbed multiple times during a road rage incident in College Point on Thursday morning. Police from the 109th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at the intersection of 26th Avenue and 126th Street near the MTA Bus College Point Depot just after 5:35 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a 47-year-old man with stab wounds to his head, chest and left arm. The injured man told police he got into an argument with another driver after they were involved in a fender bender at the location. The verbal dispute escalated into violence when the assailant brandished a meat cleaver that he used to stab the victim multiple times before running off in an unknown direction, leaving his vehicle at the scene. EMS rushed the injured man to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The meat cleaver was recovered from under a parked vehicle by crime scene investigators. An NYPD spokeswoman could not provide a description of the attacker. There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing…
