OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies conducted an enforcement operation Thursday morning at the site of a homeless encampment they’ve been trying to clear for the last several days.
“No trespassing” signs are posted in the area of 46th Street and Lafayette Avenue, where DCSO enforcement was under way. Deputies were dispatched there to issue citations for those in violation and to take anyone there with a warrant out for their arrest into custody.
First Alert 6 saw one person taken into custody in that area while at the scene around 10:45 a.m. Thursday. DCSO said at the scene that the man had a warrant out for their arrest.
The man said at the scene that he was from Minneapolis.
