ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An incoming Howard University student from the Columbus area said she was unexpectedly unenrolled from Howard University this week over an unpaid portion of her tuition, even though she had outside scholarships she said were expected to post later.
Isabella Williams, an incoming political science major, said she received an email Wednesday informing her she had been unenrolled for nonpayment. Williams said she had already reported multiple external scholarships and believed the school was aware the funds would arrive after the university’s payment deadline.
