LODI, Calif. — While some students across the region still have days or weeks of summer break remaining, more than 30,000 Lodi Unified School District students across Stockton and Lodi are preparing to head back to school.
District Superintendent Neil Young said the start date, Friday, is the earliest the district has had in years, beginning before the last week of July.
