The appointments span executive officers, regional and principal supervisors, and building principals as JCPS gears up for the 2026–27 school year. District officials say the shuffle is designed to boost support for principals and tighten how programs line up from school to school.

Among those stepping into new posts are Barnard Baker as executive officer of Communications & Community Relations, Dr. Melvin J. Brown as executive officer of Talent, Nina Beck as executive officer of Exceptional Child Education, and Dr. Joseph Ellison as executive principal of Doss High School, according to Jefferson County Public Schools.
