SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – The Salem VA Health Care System appointed Tammy Snyder, a licensed clinical social worker, as its next executive director.
Snyder officially stepped into the role July 13 after serving as interim executive director, a position she filled since Rebecca Stackhouse’s retirement in October 2025.
Now, she leads a health care system consisting of a VA Medical Center in Salem, a level 1-c tertiary care teaching hospital and five VA outpatient clinics in Danville, Lynchburg, Staunton, Tazewell and Wytheville…
