The Golden Pineapple has quietly slipped into Midtown Sacramento’s lunch scene, plating up Hawaiian-style plate lunches, rice bowls, ramen and poke right next to a full deli counter. The fast-casual spot leans on Hawaiian home-cooking, California-style sandwiches and a grab-and-go rhythm. Early regulars are already calling the katsu sandos and kalua pig plates their new neighborhood staples.
Two concepts under one roof
As reported by The Sacramento Bee, The Golden Pineapple is the latest project from Kupros Craft House owners Keegan Currey and Steve Tokuhama, who split the former Sunny’s Market space into a Hawaiian counter and a California-style deli. Diners can walk in, pick either side, then mix and match across both menus on the same ticket. The owners told local reporters they wanted a compact, takeout-focused setup that still makes room for family recipes.

The menu runs from $12 rice bowls to $22 Hawaiian plates and covers kalua pig, chicken katsu, tonkotsu and Hawaiian saimin ramen, plus build-your-own poke bowls.
