North Side residents should prepare for a doozy of a highway closure this weekend, as the Texas Department of Transportation plans to close stretches of both Interstate 10 and Loop 1604 during nighttime hours.
TxDOT says it will close all lanes of I-10 and the eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 where the highways meet near the Rim from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
During those hours, the state transportation agency will also close the frontage roads for Loop 1604 going both ways. The frontage roads for I-10 will remain open…
