2 Berkeley County deputies injured after drunk driver rear-ends patrol vehicle

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) — A driver suspected of driving under the influence was arrested Thursday night after he allegedly rear-ended a patrol vehicle.

Treyvon Behrends Wallace, 25, of Goose Creek, is charged with driving under the influence, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy was undergoing field training with her field training officer around 9:30 p.m.

The deputies were stopped at a red light in their marked patrol vehicle on North Main Street. After the light turned green and the deputies drove through the intersection, Wallace rear-ended them…
