Two people were arrested Friday morning after a police pursuit that began in Cadiz and ended when a vehicle crashed into a utility pole on the South Road.
According to the Cadiz Police Department, Officer Joshua Bogle attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Tyler Morton of Clarksville, Tennessee, after observing it being operated erratically on U.S. 68.
The arrest report states that Morton failed to stop after Bogle activated his emergency equipment and accelerated to 100 miles per hour. During the pursuit, police say Morton crossed the median and drove westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 68 before turning onto South Road, where he continued at a high rate of speed until losing control and crashing into a telephone pole…
