Fort Bragg welcomes Colonel Luke Wittmer as new Garrison Commander

Fort Bragg, the nation’s largest military installation, is under new leadership following a traditional change of command ceremony held Friday at the Iron Mike Conference Center. The ceremony is usually held on the Parade Field, but due to inclement weather, it was moved inside.

Colonel Chad Mixon officially relinquished command of the garrison to Colonel Luke Wittmer, marking the end of Mixon’s distinguished 33-year career in the U.S. Army, including seven deployments.
