Florida Trooper Rescues Stray German Shepherd Wearing Service Collar In Polk County

HAINES CITY, Fla. — A stray German Shepherd is in the care of local animal services after a Florida Highway Patrol trooper spotted the animal roaming in traffic along a Polk County roadway.

According to FHP, the trooper was patrolling the Haines City area when they spotted the dog walking down the middle of the highway near the intersection of Detour Road and Kokomo Road.

Upon pulling over to secure the animal, the trooper noted that the German Shepherd was wearing an Emotional Support Animal collar. The officer attempted to locate the dog’s owner in the immediate area, but was unsuccessful…
