Another mild weather day today
A comfortable start is underway across Kentucky this morning, with temperatures dipping into the upper 50s to low 60s. Low humidity and dry air are making for a refreshing feel to kick off the day.
Expect another nice summer day overall, with afternoon highs returning to the upper 70s and low 80s. While sunshine will dominate at times, clouds will be a bit more noticeable compared to recent days. A stray shower or storm can’t be completely ruled out, but most locations will stay dry.
Weekend Brings Spotty Storm Chances
Changes begin to creep in as we head into the weekend. Saturday introduces a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. It won’t be an all-day washout, but you may need to dodge a few storms, especially during the afternoon and evening.
Active Pattern Early Next Week
A more active pattern begins to take shape as early as Sunday night. Better chances for rounds of storms arrive Monday and Tuesday, and some of these storms could become strong.
At the same time, heat and humidity will be on the rise. Afternoon heat index values could climb into the triple digits for some by early next week…
