Louisville police ‘actively’ investigating more than 50-year-old cold case homicide

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police is asking for the public’s help to solve a more than 50-year-old cold case out of the east end.

On July 5, 1972, Joyce “Mable” Bridges was found unresponsive by her husband in their home on Bent Oak Circle, off Chamberlain Lane.

Bridges was taken to Peewee Valley Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was then moved to a funeral home with no initial police or EMS involvement…
