As Pittsburgh faces detours and slow traffic with the I-376 Parkway East closure, another set of roads is set to be temporarily blocked.
On July 26, OpenStreetsPGH, hosted by Bike Pittsburgh, will shut down areas in the Strip District and Lawrenceville that typically see busy traffic to allow cyclists, runners and walkers and other pedestrians to take over the roads. Event participants of all ages and abilities are invited to join in however they like, whether that be by biking along the road, dancing with friends in the streets or exploring free fitness classes at the event’s wellness hubs.
