Jjang Korean BBQ, an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant, is getting ready to open a new location in Escondido at 329 West Felicita Avenue.
The company’s second location is planned for the former Sierra Madre Cantina space in Felicita Plaza, according to documents recently submitted to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the filing indicates the company is moving forward with its expansion into North County.
What Now San Diego previously reported on the company’s first location in La Mesa, which opened at 3637 Avocado Boulevard after replacing a former IHOP. At the time, owner Karam Solaiman told What Now he planned to bring an authentic Korean barbecue experience to East County with a wide selection of meats and classic Korean side dishes. The upcoming Escondido restaurant marks the company’s second location as it continues to grow its presence in San Diego County.
