Veteran New Orleans police officer fired for payroll fraud months after his arrest

A New Orleans Police Department sergeant was terminated Thursday on multiple counts of payroll violations and submitting inaccurate reports, NOPD officials confirmed.

Henry Burke, 58, had been suspended without pay since his February arrest by NOPD’s Public Integrity Bureau on four counts of public payroll fraud and six counts of injuring public records.
