OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man who was accused of shooting an Omaha Police officer in the head outside of a gas station last year was found not responsible by reason of insanity on Friday, according to court records.
Shedrick Mills, 36, was arrested following the shooting last October after police confronted him and he allegedly shot Officer Steven Murcek, who has since recovered.
Mills was charged with attempted murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
