Five women arrested for Rockford house fire involving injured firefighter and dead dog

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — All five women accused of setting a house on fire in May have been arrested after several months at large.

On Wednesday, May 20, the Rockford Fire Department responded to the 1300 block of Andrews Street around 4:40 p.m. for a house on fire.

Arriving firefighters said a scream was heard coming from within the home, prompting an interior search. During the search, one firefighter sustained second-degree burns and fell through the second-floor stairs…
