ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police said an officer had to use a Taser to subdue suspect Steven Alston, 22, during a combative arrest on Wednesday.
According to court records, a Winnebago County Sheriff‘s Deputy was on patrol around 4:38 p.m. in the 400 block of 12th Avenue on July 22 when a 2018 Ford Focus passed by, triggering an alert from the squad car’s license plate scanner.
