Thornton could soon be getting its first Aldi as the popular discount grocer continues laying the groundwork for its arrival in Colorado.
According to Naked Denver, pre-application plans filed with the City of Thornton show a new Aldi proposed for 550 E. 97th Avenue and 9650 Grant Street, just east of Interstate 25.
The proposed store would span about 20,436 square feet on a currently vacant 2.85-acre property. Plans also call for beer and wine sales and parking for more than 90 vehicles, including accessible spaces….
