Watertown man arrested in Melrose Dunkin’ robbery

MELROSE — On Sunday, July 19, 2026, Melrose police responded to the Dunkin’ located at 470 Lynn Fells Parkway following a report of a robbery.

According to Melrose Police Chief Kevin Faller, during the preliminary investigation, police learned that a man in his 50s approached a clerk, gestured toward his waistband, and demanded money. The clerk then handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

Melrose police officers and detectives reviewed surveillance footage that captured the incident and identified the suspect as Daniel Clancy, 58, of Watertown, who Chief Faller said was known to the department. A subsequent investigation further identified Clancy as the alleged robber…
