WDSU-TV investigative reporter Cassie Schirm said Friday that she will leave the local NBC affiliate for a broadcast news job in Washington D.C. at the end of the month.
Schirm, who has won multiple Emmy and Edward R Murrow awards, said in a Facebook post that after four years, “leaving New Orleans is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made.”
