A sixth Denver bridge has quietly been added to a list restricting heavy vehicles, including fire trucks and semi-trucks.
Lawrence Street over Cherry Creek, between north and southbound Speer Boulevard, is now weight restricted.
It joins the following bridges with weight limits:
- Sixth Avenue over Cherry Creek between Lincoln and Broadway
- Mississippi Avenue over South Platte River at Santa Fe
- Quebec Street over Airlawn Road, south of Interstate 70
- Smith Road over Quebec Street
- Sandown Road over Quebec Street
The Quebec bridge over Airlawn, between I-70 and Smith Road, has a maximum weight limit of 20 to 21 tons, or about 40,000 pounds for semi-trucks…
