Terry Kennedy jailed again just months out of prison

Terry Kennedy is behind bars again, and the accusation against him this time is a serious one.

The former professional skateboarder, 41, was arrested in Denver earlier this month after police say his pregnant girlfriend accused him of punching her in the head, according to TMZ. He now faces two assault charges along with an out-of-state charge that authorities say stems from a parole violation.

What police say happened

Officers responded to a call shortly before 10 p.m. on July 13. When they arrived, they spoke with Chantise Knatt-Jackson, who they say had been dating Kennedy for about six months and is nearly three months pregnant. Police reported seeing a small cut in the middle of her forehead and a larger one toward the lower left side of her head.

The account and the denial

By the account Knatt-Jackson gave police, Kennedy was stressed over business deals when he allegedly struck her. She also told officers he shoved her as she tried to reach the door, which sent her falling into the door handle. She said she got up, ran to the bathroom, and messaged a neighbor to call for help. Paramedics who reached the scene noted a wound on the back of her head that might need stitches. Kennedy told police a different story. Officers say he denied that any altercation took place.

Kennedy’s team responds

His management company, 3rd Eye Recordings, addressed the arrest through its CEO, K-R.O.K, who told TMZ the label is aware of the situation and looking into it while offering prayers for Kennedy and his family. The executive also stressed that the company does not condone domestic violence in any form. As of now, Kennedy appears to remain in custody, with bond set on only two of the charges.
