National Night Out, a nationwide event aimed at strengthening bonds between police, other government personnel and the public, will be held in Lake Oswego and Wilsonville this year.
The Lake Oswego police and fire departments, the Wilsonville Police Department and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue are planning to show up at National Night Out events throughout neighborhoods in the two communities. The city of Lake Oswego also said staff from the Adult Community Center and the Lake Oswego Library will be in attendance. Neighborhood events range from barbecues to potlucks.
The event will run from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 and the cities will provide more information about where the city of Lake Oswego said it would provide a map of where events will take place soon. Wilsonville said events are often hosted by homeowners associations and not open to the broader public…
