NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A new report from the Council on Criminal Justice says the homicide rate in Norfolk has increased since 2025.
The report states that out of 30 cities that were sampled, the homicide rate in Norfolk increased by 64% from the first half of 2025 to the first half of 2026, followed by San Francisco, California with 55% and Dallas, Texas with 30%.
