Families gather for annual Hammock Day Festival in Pawleys Island

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) — Rain or shine, families gathered Saturday for the annual Hammock Day Festival at the Hammock Shops Village in Pawleys Island.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., community members along the Grand Strand and beyond made their way to the festival, listening to live music, shopping at various unique shops, and enjoying tasty bites the whole family could enjoy.

Those who help run the event say it’s a great way for the community to get together and embrace the laid-back coastal vibes the Hammock has to offer. The festival embraced the rich history of the original rope hammock that was invented in the heart of Pawleys Island…
