BELOIT, Wis. (WFRV) – You’ve heard the cliché about fire departments rescuing cats from trees, but have you heard the one about the kitten stuck in a drain?
The Beloit Fire Department was tasked with critical rescue operation—retrieving a kitten that had been stuck in a storm drain for at least three days.

With some lent hands in the neighborhood, firefighters were able to lower a bucket down the drain for the kitten to crawl into.
After the featherweight feline climbed aboard, the bucket was raised, and the newly freed kitten was quickly reunited with its mother, who was waiting nearby.
